Tasting Notes :
2006 was one of the hottest summers on record. We harvested our Verdelho with a slightly higher brix than last year and the grapes were crushed and went through cold fermentation, unlike our previous years. Unlike our previous vinatages of this wine, we choose to try a different winemaking style and produce a slightly but elegant white wine. "It opens with impressive crisp apricot, nectar and lime curd, then segues to lush tropical notes of papaya and overripe mango, buoyed by a mineral firmness and a citrus pith note toward the end that gives it focus. We're increasingly convinced that Verdelho is Lodi's secret weapon." Per the San Francisco Chronicle.
